২। (১) বিষয় বা প্রসঙ্গের পরিপন্থী ক

২। (১) বিষয় বা প্রসঙ্গের পরিপন্থী কোন কিছু না থাকিলে, এই আইনে-

(ক) ‘‘বিধি’’ অর্থ এই আইনের অধীন প্রণীত বিধি;

(খ) ‘‘জ্বালানী’’ অর্থ-

(অ) প্রাকৃতিক গ্যাস, প্রাকৃতিক তরল গ্যাস (NGL),তরলীকৃত প্রাকৃতিক গ্যাস (LNG),সংকুচিত প্রাকৃতিক গ্যাস (CNG), সিনথেটিক প্রাকৃতিক গ্যাস (SNG) বা সাধারণ চাপে ও তাপে গ্যাসীয় পদার্থে রূপান্তরিত হয় এমন প্রাকৃতিক হাইড্রোকার্বনের মিশ্রণ ইত্যাদি;
(আ) কয়লা;

(ই) পেট্রোল, ডিজেল, কেরোসিন, ফার্নেস অয়েল এবং পেট্রোলিয়ামজাত অন্যান্য পদার্থ; এবং

(ঈ) নবায়নযোগ্য এনার্জি।


(২) এই আইনে ব্যবহৃত যে সকল শব্দ বা অভিব্যক্তির সংজ্ঞা দেওয়া হয় নাই, সেই সকল শব্দ বা অভিব্যক্তি বাংলাদেশ গ্যাস আইন, ২০১০ (২০১০ সনের ৪০ নং আইন), বাংলাদেশ এনার্জি রেগুলেটরী কমিশন আইন, ২০০৩ (২০০৩ সনের ১৩ নং আইন), খনি ও খনিজ সম্পদ (নিয়ন্ত্রণ ও উন্নয়ন) আইন, ১৯৯২ (১৯৯২ সনের ৩৯ নং আইন) এবং Electricity Act, 1910 (Act IX of 1910) এ যে অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হইয়াছে সেই অর্থে প্রযোজ্য হইবে।
